Manipulation
Manipulation is a technique used to free restricted joints and promote normal
movement. Following a thorough assessment the patient is put into the
appropriate position and the tension is taken up in the tissues in the direction of the restriction.
A low amplitude high velocity thrust is the applied to release the adhesions. A popping or
cracking is commonly felt.
